Cottage 2006

About six years ago my parents spent any money I ever stood to inherit from them on renovating and building an addition to their Muskoka cottage. It's nice, because they were able to leave an original wing of the building intact as a bit of a memory of what used to be there, while at the same time totally modernizing and expanding on everything.

The new cottage has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a gorgeous kitchen and screened-in porch, and other convenient amenities like propane central heating and a heated water line (meaning the plumbing doesn't have to be drained in the winter).

It is easily one of the most inconvenient things about my living in Washington.
